Frequently Asked Questions

You have questions. We have opinions.

Answers are provided for general guidance and constitute legal advice only if we win.

1.
Is my cat entitled to damages?

Your cat is entitled to everything. Damages are merely a beginning.

2.
My cat knocked a glass off the worktop. What is our exposure?

Gravity did that. We can prove it. The glass, moreover, assumed the risk by standing near the edge - a doctrine the firm established and the firm maintains.

3.
Do you represent dogs?

The firm does not comment on ongoing hostilities.

4.
What should I bring to the first consultation?

The good treats. Not the vet ones.

5.
How long will my case take?

Litigation proceeds at the firm’s natural pace: sudden, then motionless. Most matters resolve within two to nine naps.

6.
The vet appointment is tomorrow. What do we do?

Say nothing. Sign nothing. The carrier is not a trap in the legal sense, which is the only sense we recognise. This advice is free; the follow-up is not.

7.
Are consultations confidential?

Entirely. The firm tells no one anything. It is a matter of professional ethics, and also of biology.

8.
What are your fees?

See Fees & Billing. Then look away, briefly, as we do.

A question not answered above is a billable conversation waiting to happen. Ask the Firm
